Kazinga, DR Congo – The Armed Forces of the Democratic Republic of the Congo (FARDC) have successfully recaptured Kazinga, just days after briefly losing control last Tuesday.
In a swift operation, loyalist forces pressured the opposing troops, prompting elements of the Rwandan army to flee in disarray. Weapons and communication equipment were left behind during their retreat.
The reconquest of Kazinga signals a renewed advance by FARDC on the ground, bolstering security in the region and restoring confidence among local residents.
